Montana Veterans Foundation is dedicated to assist homeless veterans or soon to be homeless, find housing, get medical assistance and find employment. We have the assistance of the VA, Counseling Consortium, and many veterans organizations. This and the assistance of the Job Service make it possible for veterans to get well and lead a productive life.

Eligibility/Admission Criteria for our assistance:
- Any man or woman who has served in the U.S. Military at anytime. Service dates will be confirmed.
- Staff, will assess the Veteran, over a 7-day period, for admissions or appropriate referral.
- The Veteran is homeless or at risk of becoming homeless at time of application.
- The Veteran must be motivated and able to work and/or enroll in an education-training program.
- The Veteran's medical and mental condition must be stable.
- The Veteran must comply with program policy and procedures.
- The Veteran must be willing to work with a case manager and establish an individual case plan.
- The Veteran must manage his/her own medication.
- The Veteran must commit to alcohol and drug free living.

Thanks Lucinda and those of you who pledged or donated
money.
Lucinda Leon ran in the Portland (26.2 mile) Marathon on
October 7th and finished overall 1066 / 7724. In her division
46 / 683 and gender placement 244 / 4195. She completed
the marathon in 3:44:27. She is a 10 year Coast Guard
Veteran, avid fitness enthusiast and believes in helping
others, especially Veterans. She has been running for over
20 years. Lucinda also qualified to run in the Boston
Marathon on April 2008
